Group Coaching Supervision

Professional group coaching supervision, like one-to-one coaching supervision, is about reflective practice. I supervise new coaches (less than 100 hours/recently ACC), and experienced/established professional coaches (PCC+).

To ensure commitment to the group, 50% payment is required upfront and 50% at the mid-point. If you miss one (because that’s bound to happen to everyone in the group!), you can convert the missed session it to a one-to-one coaching supervision session with me.

Sponsored Supervision for Groups of Internal Coaches

1 x 90-MINUTE SESSION

SCHEDULED TO SUIT THE GROUP (MIN SIZE 3/MAX SIZE 6)

Regardless of your coaching skill, experience, qualifications, or credentials, as an internal coach you will be encountering and managing a myriad of ethical issues. These include navigating appropriately your confidentiality requirements, complex relationships, appropriate boundary setting and potential conflicts of interest.

My Supervision Groups for internal coaches provide a virtual space where you can step away from your workday busy-ness, take a broader view of your coaching practice, uncover any blind spots, and reveal what you’re unable to see in your own work.

You bring a very curious and warm approach to the space, it feels safe to explore without judgement and you ensure equal voice and involvement from everyone.  There is flow and ease while at the same time taking in and becoming aware of so much richness of learning
[Margaret, 2023].”

How often should I participate in supervision?

Association for Coaching -

The Association for Coaching require that:

  • new coaches participate in 1 hour of supervision for every 15 hours of coaching practice, and
  • experienced coaches participate in 1 hours of supervision for every 30 hours of coaching practice.

ICF -

The ICF does not currently require credentialed coaches to participate in regular supervision.

The ICF allow up to 10 hours of Coaching Supervision to count toward the 40 hours of Continuing Coach Education (CCE) required for credential renewal.

What issues can I bring to a group supervision session?

The issues you bring to supervision might include challenging coaching clients, ethical dilemmas, questions about best practice, managing key stakeholders in the coaching engagement – anything that will help you to be the best coach you can be!

How big is the group?

There are a maximum of 6 places available in the group.
Scheduled sessions will go ahead when a minimum of 3 people register.

How do I prepare for group supervision?

Supervision is a reflective practice and your reflections should begin before the supervision session. One suggestion is to keep a journal and list topics you might like to raise in supervision sessions. Several days before each group session you will receive a reminder email and this is a prompt to think about the topic/s that are top of mind for you. At the beginning of the session I will ask everyone to give a quick summary of the issue they are bringing into the session. Sometimes a few participants may indicate they do not wish to bring a topic to that session – on these occasions you will still engage in reflective practice and you are encouraged to record your insights and think about how you will apply this new learning in your coaching practice.

“Supervision as a synonym for care; the care we show for our practice and profession, for our clients (and for theirs), and for ourselves.”
Liam Moore, Coaching Perspectives Magazine (April 2024, Issue 41)
