How I Work (f2f and virtual)

Face to Face

Coaching

I am located in South Australia, so face-to-face coaching is a great option for clients who live in Adelaide.  For face-to-face sessions, a suitable venue for coaching is to be mutually agreed. My home office (located in the Unley area) is an option that suits many people. Even when coaching is face-to-face, the opportunity to step away from your work environment for coaching sessions can be beneficial.

Workshops

A well-chosen workshop venue can enhance the entire experience. A venue which allows participants to remove themselves from the distractions of work is recommended and it is important to ensure the group will not be interrupted. For engagements outside the Adelaide metropolitan area, travel time will normally apply. Where interstate travel is required, the reasonable cost of travel (flights/transfers) will apply.

Virtual

Coaching

I have been coaching virtually for almost a decade. My virtual coaching sessions are scheduled using Zoom, but coaching clients infrequently request a different platform and this can be accommodated. Virtual coaching is not a “poor substitute” for face-to-face coaching. Many people prefer virtual coaching, for the flexibility it provides.  A recent study showed the outcomes from virtual v’s  face-to-face coaching do not differ (Michalik & Schermuly, Journal of Managerial Psychology).

Workshops

For virtual delivery, sessions are conducted via Zoom. Zoom allows an open and engaging “classroom” experience, where participants can put their hand up at any time to make a contribution, or share thoughts using the group chat. Breakout rooms are used for work in pairs/groups, and there are many features that help to create a positive virtual experience.
